Product overview

Ceyear 1763 simulates the I–V output characteristics of satellite solar panels and solar-cell arrays, with curve simulation, list output, constant-voltage and constant-current modes. A two-module mainframe delivers up to 1200 W, with four standard module types and GPIB, LAN and USB remote-control interfaces.

Key functions

  • Supports I–V curve simulation, curve-table/list output and rapid curve transitions.
  • Four standard module types are available; rated power reaches 600 W per module and 1200 W for a two-module mainframe.
  • Constant-voltage, constant-current and series/parallel operation support satellite power-system and photovoltaic supply-simulation testing.
  • SCPI compatibility with GPIB, LAN and USB interfaces.

Application and selection notes

Simulation/list open-circuit voltage differs from the fixed-mode voltage limit. Select modules for the required operating mode. In series operation, current must not exceed the module rating; parallel modules must use the same output voltage.

Voltage ripple/noise is specified with a resistive load, ungrounded or grounded output, over 20 Hz–20 MHz. Readback accuracy refers to front-panel or GPIB readings relative to actual output. In the accuracy expressions, the percentage term applies to the corresponding voltage/current value, plus the fixed error term.

Follow manufacturer wiring requirements for remote sensing. Use twisted-pair or shielded sense leads; ground one shield end at the output connector and leave the other end open. Do not use the shield as a sense conductor.
